Raymond W. Pollock, 89, of Tuscola, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 600 East Northline Road, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Michael Ruhlig officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Pollock was born on June 4, 1920 in St. Libory, Nebraska, the son of Chris and Elizabeth Roth Pollock. He married Wilma E. Wendte on February 5, 1951 in Tuscola, IL. She preceded him in death on December 3, 1994.

Survivors include: 3 Sons: William F. (Alice) Pollock, Mark A. (Aileen) Pollock, Timothy R. (Tresa) Pollock all of Tuscola, IL, 2 Daughters: Janet Sue Pollock of Charleston, IL, Marilyn Mann (Gary) of Tuscola, IL, 1 Sister: Clara Scholz of Grand Island, NB,
11 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Fred & Harry Pollock, 1 Sister: Edith Bossellman

Raymond was a retired farmer and he retired from the Illinois State Police, where he worked in maintenance at their headquarters in Pesotum, IL for 21 years, retiring on December 31, 1991. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Men's Club and Fraternal Order of Police of the Illinois State Police. He loved stamp collecting and attending auctions.
