Randall Steven Rowe, 76, of Mattoon, passed at 12:45 am Saturday, March 1,2025 at the O.S.F. Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, surrounded by his loving family.

Randy was born October 11, 1948, in Mattoon, the son of Granville "Buck" and Dorothy Jackson Rowe. He was united in marriage to Linda Thomas on October 12, 1966 in Ramsey, IL.

Randy served 17 years in the US Air Force and was a proud veteran. He graduated from the Community College of the Air Force and served several duty stations during the Vietnam War. As his picture depicts, Randy was a Training Instructor at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas helping shape new recruits to become war fighters.  After the Air Force, Randy enjoyed working at Bauer Auction and most recently worked at Rural King as a truck driver. Randall was a member of the American Legion in Mattoon.

Randy is survived by his wife Linda Rowe of Mattoon; two sons, Randall Steven Rowe Jr. and his wife Sarah of Center Point, TX; Philip Rowe and wife Cristy of Mattoon. There are 7 grandchildren; Jonathan Rowe and wife Misha of Yukon, OK; Jeremy Rowe and wife Tisha of Oklahoma City, OK; Nikolas Stiffler of Saint Petersburg, FL; Sasha and husband Trey Perryman of Buda, TX; Stephanie and husband Eric Oestreich of Boerne TX; Brandon Rowe and wife Amanda of Detroit, IL; and Alexander Rowe of Mattoon;  16 great grandchildren; brother, Kevin Rowe and wife Leslie of Elkhart IN; and sisters, Mrs.Rebecca Moran of Allenville, IL; Janet Christian of Tennessee; and Jennifer Brewer of Scottsdale, AZ. Randall was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Clark and brother, Dennis Rowe.

A private celebration of life will be held later.

Randy will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service, to his country, and hard work throughout his life. His memory shall live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
