Obituary
Rachel E. Selle, 97, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 3:59 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. David Smith officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.
Rachel was born on November 2, 1914 at rural Arcola, IL, the daughter of James and Emily Peddycoart Garrett. She married Eugene R. Selle on March 10, 1934 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1989.
Survivors include her two sisters: Florence Shutt of Arcola, IL and Betty Pflum of Tuscola, IL and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Thelma Prowell and Leona Benner.
Rachel was a homemaker and a member of the Bourbon Baptist Church.
