Phyllis Deane Houser, 90, of Arcola, IL, formerly of Tuscola, IL, was called home to be with her Lord at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center, Mattoon, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Ralph Deal officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Cemetery, rural Sadorus, IL

Phyllis was born on November 22, 1924 in Champaign County, IL, the daughter of Herman and Edith Wilson Brewer.

Survivors include her son: Allan D. Houser of Royse City, TX, daughters: Jeanine Andres of Tuscola, IL and Rheana Derrickson of Woodstock, GA, grandchildren: Roger Ponder, Tina Lidy, Christien LeBlanc and Michael Houser, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild, brother: Willard Brewer of Urbana, IL

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Norman, Richard, Ralph, Cletus, Earl and Melvin Brewer and sister: Rozeanne Dunwoodie.

She loved antique dolls and owned an antique doll hospital. Phyllis enjoyed gardening and had a special love of dogs and birds. She loved the farm life. Phyllis enjoyed working word search puzzles, playing bingo, sewing and crocheting. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.
