Obituary

Paula Jo Goodwin, 62, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 8:04 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL with her family by her side.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with Rev. Don Gerkin officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Private interment will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ivesdale, IL

Paula was born on February 22, 1956 in Rantoul, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Betty Shepherd Keith. She married David Allen Goodwin on August 23, 1997. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: Shannon Dick of Mahomet, Jeffery Dick of Atwood, Amy Nichols of Hammond and Matthew Dick of Tuscola, 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, brother: Stephen Keith of Sparta, sister: Toni Wendler of Monticello and her loving dogs: Baylee and Brandie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-daughter: Misty Hammon.

Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.

Paula worked as a custodial worker at the University of Illinois. She was a very active member of the SEIU Local #73. She loved riding her Harley and was a member of the "Wind Sisters". Paula enjoyed baking, gardening, canning and photography. She was an avid sports fan of the Cardinals and Colts. She loved attending her grandchildren's ballgames.
