Patrick E. O'Laughlin, 77 of Rockford, formerly of Tuscola, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 12, 2025 at Javon Bea Hospital, Rockford, IL

Military Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Danville National Cemetery, Danville, IL.

Visitation will be held from1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL

Patrick was born on November 7, 1947 in Okinawa, Japan, the son of Walter E. and Betty J. Watts O'Laughlin. He was previously married to Brenda O'Laughlin for 42 years. He married Carol R. Horvath on December 5, 2017 in Tuscola. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughters: Brandi Luckenbill of Tuscola, Heather (Bill) Brazzell of Tuscola and Kelly (Randy) Stanfield of Charleston, grandchildren: Tyler Luckenbill, Kelsey Rahn and Delanie Brazzell, great-grandchildren: Isaac Thomas, Micah Thomas and Oliver Krider, Carson Melton, Maiya Cook, Isabell Cook and Sadie Luckenbill, step-children: Steve (Liz) Horvath and their sons: Daniel and Robert of Rockton, Jeffrey (David) Horvath of Ashburn, VA, Michael Horvath of Rockford and Sarah (Cody) Horvath of Natalia, TX, brother: Mike O'Laughlin of Pesotum and Kathy Miller of Mattoon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister: Colleen O'Laughlin.

Patrick was a US Air Force and Army National Guard Veteran. He worked as a coal miner and was a member of the coal mine rescue team. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the American Legion.
