Patricia "Pat" Ann Howell, 91, of Arthur, passed away at 6:58 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Mason Point in Sullivan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Rev. Paul Fraser officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Pat was born March 13, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Otto and Margaret Dickman Smith. She married Richard "Dick" Howell in Arthur on February 20, 1949, and they shared 56 years together. Dick died on September 17, 2005.

Survivors include her 3 sons, Kirk Howell of Arthur; Steve (Debbie) Howell of Arthur; Dave (Karen) Howell of Morton; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick; and three brothers and two sisters.

Pat's family lived in Jacksonville and then settled in Tuscola. She graduated from Tuscola High School and worked at her dad's business, The Matinee Store in Tuscola. Later on she worked for Eads Bus Service which later became Miller Bus Service. Several of those years were spent driving the Special Education bus. She very much loved her Special Education kids and they loved her.

Pat was a great cook, loved her dogs like children, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
