Obituary
Patricia Ellen Appleby, 89, of Arthur, died at 10:30 PM Saturday, January 24, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Reverends Matthew Perkins and John Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
Patricia was born November 11, 1925 in Arthur the daughter of George and Mary Craig Ritchey. She married Willis Eugene "Bill" Appleby in Arthur on June 8, 1947; he preceded her in death on May 29, 1996.
Survivors include 4 children, Gary (Bibby) Appleby of Atwood; Jack (Mary) Appleby of Atwood; Karen Perkins of Atwood; Kay (James) McCollum of Atwood; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister.
Patricia was Salutatorian of the Arthur High School Class of 1942. She was a member of the Arthur United Methodist Church and the Arthur American Legion Auxiliary. She loved playing piano for the residents at the Arthur Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Arthur EMT Association or the Arthur Lions Club.
