Pamela A. Bernardi, 75, of Atwood, IL passed away at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the United Church of Atwood, 210 N. Main Street, Atwood, IL with Rev. Veronica Don officiating. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL is handling the arrangements.
Pam was born March 24, 1935 in Norfolk, England, the daughter of Clifford and Norah Williamson Cox. She married J.W. "Bill" Bernardi in 1956. He preceded her in death.
Pam is survived by her son: Tony Bernardi and wife Becky of Arthur, IL; 3 Granddaughters: Ashley, Alana, and Andrea; Sister: Priscilla Skelton and husband David of England; Special Sisters: Mary Louise Steier, Margie Curran, JoAnn Vessels, and Betty Jean Osborne and families all of Louisville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and special sister: Edna Schupp.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to: Pam Bernardi Memorial Fund c/o First State Bank of Atwood for the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels or The Atwood-Hammond Christmas Needy Fund.
Pam worked at Progress Industries in Arthur, IL as a welder in the tank division from March 1973 until May 1988. She volunteered helping many groups and organizations including work as a Boy Scout leader, helped with the local Peace Meal Program and the Good Samaritan Inn in Decatur, IL.
