Norman William "Bill" Kroll, 87, of Arthur, died at 12:40 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery with military rites accorded by Arthur American Legion Post. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Bill was born November 1, 1930 in Douglas County, the son of William and Janie Mae Gribbons Kroll.

Survivors include a brother, Charles (Jean) Kroll of Atwood; 2 sisters, Joyce Strack of Tuscola; Doris Davis of Danville; 20 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Bill graduated from Arthur High School Class of 1949. He was an inspector in the casket division of Progress Industries in Arthur and then retired from Kraft Foods in Champaign. He was a member of the Arthur First Baptist Church and the Arthur American Legion Post. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
