Norman D. "Dale" Horath, 89, of Charleston, IL, formerly of Tuscola and Hindsboro, IL, passed away at 3:10 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Craw Cemetery, Sadorus, IL with Rev. Jerry Conner officiating. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.

Dale was born on October 15, 1927 in Watson, IL, the son of Noah and Mary Lucy Thomas Horath. He married Ruth L. Shobe on October 26, 1945 in Charleston, IL. She preceded him in death on January 24, 2010.

Surviving are one son, David A. Horath and wife Debra of Tuscola, a daughter, Connie L. Bonner of Tolono, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons: Larry J. Horath and Steven D. Horath, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Dale formerly worked for CIPS and had an auto mechanics business.
