Norman Lee Harpster, 83, of rural Tuscola, IL passed away at 12:50 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his residence.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Pastor Jason Butterick officiating.

Mr. Harpster was born August 13, 1929 in Mattoon, IL the son of Lawrence and Edna Robertson Harpster.

Norman is survived by 2 brothers: Larry Harpster and wife Sharon of Charleston, IL; Bill Harpster and wife Mary of Washington State; sister: Linda Meyers and husband Jerry of Mattoon, IL; several nieces and nephews; loving companion: Louise Butterick of Tuscola, IL and her children: Nathan Butterick and wife Karen of Tuscola, IL; Jason Butterick and wife Amanda of Decatur, IL and Brian Butterick of Bement, IL; and 3 grandchildren: Summer Butterick, Gattlin Butterick and Patrick Butterick.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Gene Harpster.

Norman was a truck driver for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of the American Legion, VFW and 40 & 8.

The family would like to thank all of the hospice and other care staff for their loving care and support.
