Obituary

Norma E. Rahn, 80, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Manor Care Nursing Home, Champaign, IL.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 25, 2007 from 2-4 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 600 East Northline Road, Tuscola, IL.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, November 26, 2007 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church as well.

Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery, Rural Tuscola, IL. The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St. Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Rahn was born July 18, 1927 in Decatur, IL. She was the daughter of Karl F. and Bertha W. Kossieck Riedel. She married Walter John Rahn on March 7, 1952 in Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death May 20, 2003.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Arthur John Rahn of Tuscola, IL, David Mark Rahn and wife: Lynn of Villa Grove, IL, 4 Daughters: Paula Kay Bowles of Tuscola, IL, Catherine Hope Rahn of Monticello, IL, Karla Sue Wright and husband: Jeff of Bement, IL, Emma Louise Silver and husband: Mike of Tuscola, IL; 11 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Brother: Richard Riedel of Florida, 1 Sister: Dorothy Strauch of Washington, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 Sisters: Verna Stoll and Margaret Krueger and 1 Son-In-Law: Homer Charles Lopez

Memorials may be made to: Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Norma was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was active in the choir, Ladies Aide, Quilter's Club, and was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Norma enjoyed knitting and crocheting afghans and blankets for her family and friends. She was also an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and the Fighting Illini.
