Obituary
Norma Ione Davis, 85, of Atwood, died at 7:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014 at Kirby Hospital in Monticello.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at the Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Rev. Mike Drake officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
Norma was born December 18, 1929 in Arcola Township the daughter of Owen and Ada Harden Russell. She married Jesse Ray Davis in Arthur on June 25, 1949; he preceded her in death on June 11, 1995.
Survivors include her son, James E. (Randa) Davis of Mahomet; daughters, Darlene (William) Murdent of Tolono; Janet (Brad) Slagley of Findlay, Ohio; brother, Owen "Bud" (Karen) Russell, Jr. of Champaign; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Duane Russell; and son, Lonnie Glenn Davis.
Norma attended Arcola and Arthur High Schools. She enjoyed knitting, plastic canvas, knitting machines, and playing bingo. She was a member of the United Church of Atwood.
