Obituary
Ruth Brown passed from this earthly existence on January 22, 2013 at 9:05 AM at the Caseyville Nursing Home, Caseyville, surrounded by her family.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Humboldt Cemetery, rural Humboldt. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday at the Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola.
Ruth was born September 9, 1915 in Big Springs Twp, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas Israel and Sarah Olive Lawrence Steele. She married Clinton Floyd Brown and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1964.
Survivors include her son, Norman Rex Brown and his wife Kim Soo Wilber Brown of Collinsville; two grandchilden, Aidan Ross Brown and Maggie Rachel Carleen Brown of Collisville; sister, Mary Margarite Steele Welton of Springfield, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Duane Brown in June, 2012; two sisters, and one brother.
