Nola M. Pangburn, 86, of Tuscola, IL, passed away suddenly at 5:16 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014, at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Ralph Deal officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Mrs. Pangburn was born on September 9, 1927, in Charleston, IL, the daughter of Wm. "Frank" and Lorene Scheffer Haskin. She married Myron G. Pangburn on October 14, 1945, in Charleston, IL. He survives.

Other survivors include her children: Mike and Linda Pangburn of Camargo, IL; John and Diane Pangburn of Tuscola, IL and Cheryl and Mike Elder of Cantonment, FL; 5 grandchildren: Matt and Erin Pangburn, Lisa and Josh Fenton, Shane Pangburn, Steve and Suzanna Pangburn, John and Cindy Elder; 7 great-grandchildren: Alison Pangburn, Mac Fenton, Lincoln Pangburn, Gwen Pangburn, Michael Wain Elder, Tara Elder and Katie Elder, several nieces and nephews.

Nola was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Jo Shores and grandson: Josh Elder.

Nola formerly worked at Koehneman's Furniture Store, and she worked for the Charles Dotson Law Office. Along with her husband, she was the co-owner of Pangburn Oil Company in Tuscola. Nola was a member of the Tuscola United Church of Christ, Tuscola Moose Lodge and the Douglas County Home Extension. Her hobbies included traveling, square dancing, snowmobiling, antiquing and exercising. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
