Nichole "Nikki" Baker Guthridge, 46, passed away Sunday, November 16th, 2025, at home surrounded by family in Tuscola, IL.
Nikki was born on February 20th, 1979, at Jarman Memorial Hospital in Tuscola, IL, to Duane and Sherry (Massie) Baker. Nikki graduated from Neoga High School in 1997 and proceeded to graduate from Eastern Illinois with her master's degree in business. She was the Director of Treasury, Risk Management, and Investor Relations for the past 8 years at Heartland Dental in Effingham, IL.
Nikki will be remembered for her ability to light up a room with her contagious smile and laugh, her constant acts of unwavering kindness, her ability to always find a way to give, and her love for the Lord. She was a dedicated member of The Victory Church in Camargo, IL. Nikki loved to do many things, including traveling, baking, cooking, and spending time with family, but what she loved the most was the time she spent with her boys. Nikki was very involved in her community. She had been a member of the Tuscola Women's Club.
Nikki served as Treasurer of the Northward PTO and was currently the Secretary of the Ironhorse Homeowner Association Board.
Nikki was a proud mother to Teil and Grant Guthridge. Nikki took great pride in being their mother, and they were her greatest joy in life. Nikki is also survived by her mother, Sherry Baker of Neoga, IL, her four siblings, Gwen McTeer of Neoga, IL, Myah Baker of Mattoon, IL, Taylor and spouse Alex McArthur of Tuscola, IL, and Logan and spouse Kyla Baker of Neoga, IL. Nikki has nieces and nephews, Britton (Ashley Growe), Kale, and EmmaRee McTeer of Neoga, IL, Waylon and Harlynn Baker of Neoga, IL, and Brynn McArthur of Tuscola, IL, including 3 great nieces and nephews, Elliana and Kaycen McTeer and Jacob Growe of Neoga, IL. Nikki is survived by several aunts and uncles.
She is preceded in death by her father Duane E. Baker, her grandparents, Charles and Mary Baker, and Raymond and Susie Massie.
There will be an open house Celebration of Life on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 1-4 pm at Ironhorse Golf Course, 2000 Ironhorse Drive, Tuscola, IL. We will be gathering to share some of our favorite memories, our stories, and remember a person who will be greatly missed.
