Nelson "Pete" King, 63, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 3:45 PM, Friday, November 30, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL
with the Rev. Jerry Silver officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 P.M., Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial with military graveside rites be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.
Mr. King was born on August 15, 1944 in West Frankfort, IL, the son of John and Florene Odum King. He married Karen Ruth Rahn on December 27, 1987 in Tuscola, IL. She survives.
Survivors include his Mother: Florene King of West Frankfort, IL, 1 Son: Nelson "Roger" King of Las Vegas, NV, 1 Step-Son: Don Miller and wife: Iris of Tolono, IL, 2 Brothers: Rick King of Clarksville, TN, Jim King of West Frankfort, IL, 4 Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his father.

Pete was a former coal miner. He had worked as a car detail man for Tim Mooney Ford in Tuscola, IL. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion. Pete was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuscola and a member and past president of the Douglas County Model Railroad Club.
