Nelle E. Weaver, 100, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 2:05 p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Public Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston, IL, with the Rev. Veronica Don and Rev. Kenneth Roedder officiating. Private family visitation will be held. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Weaver was born on January 31, 1909 in Jasper County, IL. She was the daughter of William and Dora Hunt Mills. She grew up and attended school in Charleston, IL

She was married to Glen Franklin Weaver on January 9, 1926. In 1927, they moved to St. Louis, MO, where Glen passed away on March 15, 1934. They had 3 sons. She is survived by 2 sons: Burleane F. "Bud" Weaver and wife: Joann and Glenn H. Weaver and wife: Margaret both of Tuscola, 6 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, 2 grandsons and 3 brothers.

Mrs. Weaver and her sons came to Tuscola with her brother, B.H. Mills in 1937. She had worked fro General Telephone Company for 23 years and 9 months, when she retired.

In 1953, Mrs. Weaver was State President of the State Of Illinois Chapter of DeMolay Mothers. She was a member of the Tuscola Chapter #44 of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years and a member of the Tuscola United Church of Christ.

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola Health Care Center Activity Fund.
