Nancy Kathyrn Bloxam Conner of Tuscola, IL, went to be with her
Lord and Savior on Friday, July 13, 2012.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Jerry Silver officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery, Arcola, IL.


Nancy was born on July 10, 1929 in Arcola, IL, to Ernest and Josie Butler Bloxam. She grew up and went to school in Mt. Vernon, IL.
.
On December 27, 1949, Nancy married Harland "Hop" Conner. She and Hop had five children: Jim, Diana, Steve, Donna, and Ernie.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Nancy worked outside the home as a cook at many restaurants in Tuscola and she was a housekeeper at Mercy Hospital in Urbana. She also worked at the Douglas Manor Nursing Home, where she worked as a CNA until she later decided no one could take better care of her beautiful granddaughter Tammy than she could. Nancy really enjoyed the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and having her family around. She was a mother who wanted her children to know God and raised them up in the First Baptist Church of Tuscola, where she is a member.


Survivors include Nancy's loving husband of 62 years, Harland "Hop" Conner , son: Jim Conner and wife: Laura of Fernandina Beach, FL, daughter: Diana Risley and husband: Kevin of Tuscola, IL, son: Steve Conner and wife: Fay of Paragould, AR, daughter: Donna Warner and husband: Rocky of Atwood, IL, son: Ernie Conner and wife: Christine of Henrietta, TX, daughter-in-law: Marian Conner of OK, two sisters: Phyllis Mezo of Granite City, IL and Edith Oslager of Washington Park, IL, 15 Grandchildren:
Dottie , Amy, Steve Jr. , Jamie, David, James "Red" , Jim Jr., Anthony , Alan, Becki, Brandy, Kathryn , Kevin Jr., Wayne, and Quinton, 23 great-grandchildren: Ashley, Austin , Alexia, Zack, Drew, Kodi, Lexis ,Brandi, Kenzi, Kayli, Maddie, Aidan, Riley Jo, Kara, Kyleigh, Mason, Kamryn, Wyatt, Camryn, Brooklynn, Gabe, Alexis and Blake and a great-great-grandson: Keamon.


Preceding Nancy in death where her parents, infant sister: Vivian Bloxam, three precious grandchildren: James Harland Conner: son of Jim and Laura Conner, Kimberly Conner: daughter of Steve and Linda Conner and Nancy's pride and joy: Tammy Conner: daughter of Diana and Kevin Risley.


Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Tuscola.
