Nancy Marie Black, 93, of Sullivan, IL, formerly of Atwood, IL, passed away at 11:15 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 at Mason Point, Sullivan, IL
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL
Nancy was born on February 3, 1923 in rural Tuscola, IL, the daughter of Ora and Mamie Roderick Benner. She married Howard E. Black on September 21, 1941 in Villa Grove, IL. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2013.
Survivor include her sons: Michael (Sandy) Black of Fayetteville, GA, Steven (Mary Gale) Black of Dewey, IL and Nolan (Cathy) Black of St. Louis, MO, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a sister: Ruth Williams of Monticello, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Beverly Ann Stine, brothers: Ora Benner, Jr., Wayne Benner and a sister: Alberta Fombelle.

Nancy was a homemaker. She and her husband lived in New Braunfels, TX and Atlanta, GA, prior to moving to Sullivan. Nancy loved to travel the United States and all around the world, including Europe and Australia. Nancy and her husband were members of the Good Sam Camping Club. She enjoyed designing and making quilts.
