Myron Donald Scott, 90, of Camargo, IL, died at 9:20 a.m., Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Camargo United Methodist Church, 103 East Main Street, Camargo, IL, with Pastor Sandi Hire officiating.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Interment with military graveside rites will be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is entrusted with the arrangements.

Myron was born on November 3, 1921 in Hindsboro, IL, the son of James Roy and M. Marie Prosser Scott. He married Marjorie E. Redden on November 16, 1946 at the Tuscola United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Marjorie "Marj" Scott, daughters: Marcia (Lynn) Albin of Camargo, Melisa (Butch) Bennett of Villa Grove; brothers: Wayne Scott of Tuscola and Dale Scott of Arthur. grandchildren: Scott (Michelle) Albin, Michelle (Shane) Smith, Jeremy (Jamie) Bennett, Mindia (Sean) Clodfelder; 9 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew, Maddison, Morgan, Jeryn, Jace, Maci, Brady and Maggi.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials can be made to the Camargo United Methodist Church.

Mr. Scott was a graduate of Villa Grove High School. After graduation he entered the US Air Force and was active in the World War II. He was a farmer for 38 years in the Camargo area. He was a board member of the Douglas County Farm Service, active member in the Douglas County Farm Bureau, was a 32nd degree Mason in the Camargo Lodge and was a volunteer fireman for the Camargo Fire Department. Myron and his wife were members of the Hugo Church and the Camargo United Methodist Church.

After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed the winter months in Florida and/or Texas. They have been very active with their family and have had a very large part in taking care of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
