Millard "Jerry" Sims, Jr, 85, of Tuscola, IL, died at 4:00 AM, Sunday, May 7, 2006 at his residence
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Scott Zorn officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, with a Masonic Service at 8 PM, on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, with military graveside rites accorded by the James Reeder American Legion Post #770.
Mr. Sims was born on December 23, 1920 in Windsor, IL, the son of Millard and Elizabeth Sims, Sr. He married Doris Lamb Waugh on May 19, 1971 in Tuscola, IL. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Daughter: Allison Dawn Dallas, 3 Brothers, 3 Sisters

Mr. Sims was a chemical operator at the USI-Quantum Chemical Company in Tuscola, IL, where he worked from 1955 until his retirement in 1982. He was a World War II US Marine Corps Veteran.
He was a member and past commander of the James Reeder American Legion Post #770, Atwood, IL. He was a member of the Sullivan Masonic Lodge and the Danville Consistory. He was a member of the Tuscola Chapter #44 Order of Eastern Star. He was a member of the Tuscola ABC Club and he served on the City of Tuscola Zoning Board. He enjoyed fishing, toy making, coffee drinking and he was an avid collector.
