Mildred C. "Millie" Borries, 86 of Tuscola, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home, Mattoon, IL
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL with Father Angel Sierra as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.
Millie was born on March 8, 1935 in Effingham County, IL, the daughter of Herman and Cecilia Voss Niemerg. She married Albert F. "Al" Borries on October 15, 1955 at Bishop Creek, IL. He passed away on August 3, 2001.
Survivors include her sons: Dean (Vangie) Borries of White Settlement, TX, Gary (Sharon Elmore) Borries of Tuscola, Dan (Monica) Borries of Williamsfield, Sam (Jena) Borries of Chicago, Neal (Dianna) Borries of Dieterich and Tim (Sandy) Borries of Antioch, daughters: Alice (Terry) Smith of Mahomet and Carleen (Charles) Fry of Columbus, IN, 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brother: Larry (Peggy) Niemerg of Baker, MT and sisters: Evelyn McCreery of Newton and Jeanette (Richard) Esker of Washington, WV.
She was preceded by her parents, son: Brian Borries, 2 brothers: Herbert and Celestine Niemerg and sister: Beatrice Niemerg.
Millie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church and Altar Society.
Memorials are suggested to the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church or Alzheimer's Association.
