Obituary

Mildred L. Amick, 87, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 2:06 AM, Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Arthur Home, Arthur, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Ralph Deal officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL

Mrs. Amick was born on October 18, 1920 in Clark County, IN, the daughter of Jacob T. and Elsie L. Robison Dickey.
She married Gerald L. Amick on June 17, 1939 in Scottsburg, IN. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1996.

Survivors include: Daughter: Ruth Trower and husband; Richard of Catlin, IL, Son: Glenn Amick and wife: Paulette of Decatur, IL, Daughter: Wanda Hardwick and husband: Wayne of Tuscola, IL, 4 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Brother: Floyd Dickey of Texas, 2 Sisters: Juanita Bray of San Antonio, TX, Doris Gill of New Washington, IN

She was preceded in death by her Parents, 2 Brothers and 1 Sister.

Mildred formerly worked at Progress Industries and for Littlefuse.
She was a former member of the Atwood Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Amick was affiliated with the Atwood Christian Church. Mildred was a very talented lady, she loved to sew, cook, quilt and decorate cakes.
