Michael Wayne "Mike" Stout, 56, of Atwood, IL, formerly of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 5:58 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Joseph Carter officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL
Mike was born on September 17, 1955 in Odessa, TX, the son of Audris Weber "Webb" and Raynie Pauline "Polly" Harrison Stout.
Survivors include 2 sisters: Kathleen A. Newstrom of Gallatin Gateway, MT, Kelli Hanners of Atwood, IL, 1 brother: Bradley S. Stout of Effingham, IL, 2 nieces: Katrina and Desiray Young, 3 great-nieces and nephews: Matthew, Morgan and Ryan Young, best friends: Alex Postlewait of Lompac, CA and Steve Bullard of Tuscola,IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or donor's choice.
Mike worked as a grill cook at the Hen House in Arcola for 5 years and he worked at the Dixie Truck Stop in Tuscola as a front line grill cook on the 3rd shift for 16 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially following the Baltimore Orioles and Minnesota Vikings. If you had any questions about sports he knew the answers. He collected baseball cards and Hot Wheel cars. Mike loved music of all kinds. He was an avid newspaper reader and he loved to express his political opinion, much like his mother. Mike was an organ donor.
