Michael Glenn Meyers, 69, of Arthur, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2024 at his home in Arthur, surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born July 19, 1955 in Tuscola, the son of Lyman P. Meyers, Jr. and Lorna Maye Shewhart Meyers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 320 N. 21st St., Mattoon, with Father John Titus officiating.  Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur.

Survivors include his mother, Lorna Meyers of Lovington; 2 daughters, Emily Meyers and husband Scott Annis of San Tan Valley, Arizona; Mallory Washburn and husband Josiah of San Tan Valley, Arizona; 2 granddaughters, Magdalene Washburn and Adaline Annis; friend, Patty Cazel of Cadwell.

Mike attended Lake Land College; was a member of the NRA; Effingham Gun Club; and participated in the long range rifle competition.  He worked as a precision machinist and worked the late shift so he could attend his daughters' softball games.  He was an awesome dad and friend.

Memorials are suggested to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mattoon or St. Columcille Catholic Church in Sullivan.
