Michael Jay King, 55, of Arcola, died at 12:55 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2020 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.

Michael was born May 10, 1965 in Tuscola, the son of J.C. and Erma Ellison King.

He is survived by 2 ^nd mom, Kay King of Decatur; brothers, Randy Allen of Morrisonville; Rick Allen of Decatur; Ron Allen of Stonington; sisters, Abby Morton of Wichita Falls, Texas; Rena Burkhart of Taylorville; nieces and nephews, Joe Kleiboeker of Gillette, Wyoming; Jennifer Thompson, Teresa Kleiboeker, and Dustin Morton all of Wichita Falls, Texas; several aunts and uncles and additional nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, David and Chris King.

Michael graduated from Arcola High School Class of 1983. He was injured from a swimming accident which left him a quadraplegic for 32 years; however, he enjoyed life to the fullest and never complained.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
