Michael "Mike" William Collins, 23, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Arthur, died at 1:44 AM Friday, March 19, 2010 at North Cypress Hospital in Cypress, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Vine Street Christian Church, 249 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur.

Mike was born May 12, 1986 in Decatur, the son of Michael and Linda Morgan Collins.

Survivors include his parents, Michael and Linda Collins of Arthur; fiancee`, Nicole Alexander of Austin, Texas, formerly of Charleston; 2 brothers, Jeremy and wife Jeni of Mahomet, Alex of Arthur; 1 sister, Becky and husband Isai of Arthur; paternal grandparents, Bill and Mildred Collins of Arthur; along with nieces, Courtney and Emily; and nephews, Malachi, Nathan, and Elijah. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George D. and Evelyn Morgan; nephew, Jeremy Hale, Jr.; and uncle, Donald Collins.

Mike graduated from Arthur High School in 2004 and graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Business Management. He was employed with Borden Dairy in Austin, Texas, as Parts Manager.

Mike was a former member of the Vine Street Christian Church Youth Group and attended Sunday School at the Arthur United Methodist Church. He enjoyed all sports, boating,
4-wheelers, camping, and anything outdoors.
