Maurine Elouise Seaman, 89, of Tuscola, IL, formerly of Humboldt, IL, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Shrader Funeral Home, 204 North Locust Street, Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Humboldt Cemetery, Humboldt, IL.

Mrs. Seaman was born October 18, 1927 in rural Neoga, Il the daughter of Arch and Zella Dobbs Miller. She married Everett T. Seaman, Jr. on June 22, 1946 in Mattoon, IL. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2005.

Survivors include her sons: Craig W. (Dianne) Seaman of Tuscola, Kyle T. Seaman of Humboldt, Kirk A. Seaman of Mattoon and Kelly L. Seaman of Humboldt, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son: Shan Seaman, granddaughter: Brianna Seaman, 2 brothers: Dale & Perry Miller and 2 sisters: Dorothy Price and Betty Lou Bareither.

She was a homemaker and member of the Humboldt United Methodist Church. She graduated from Mattoon High School in 1946 and was the homecoming queen. Her delight and greatest joy came from spending holidays with her grandkids. She would prepare for days, shopping and cooking. She was well known throughout the area for her kindness toward other people. Maurine was known for her custard pies.

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola Health Care Center Activity Fund.
