Obituary
Mary Blanche Woods was born in Clark County on May 2, 1914, the daughter of Joe & Etta Fitzjarrald. Her family moved to Arthur in 1921 where she remained until her passing at the Arthur Home on the evening of January 21, 2011.
Blanche was married in 1935 to Wendell P. Woods and was blessed with the birth of five children. Survivors include her sons, Robert Woods of Arthur and James Woods and his wife Sandra of East Galesburg; grandson Scott Woods and wife Pam of Grainger, Indiana and grandson Rick Woods and his wife Jeanna and their daughters Emma and Alicia of Rockton, Illinois; and her brother, Wilbur Fitzjarrald of Arthur.
After completing high school, she attended McMurray College. She was active in the Arthur Junior Women's Club and enjoyed playing bridge and being a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the Arthur United Methodist Church with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery. Shrader Funeral Home, Arthur, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Arthur Home or the Arthur United Methodist Church.
