Mary J. Wenzel, 78, of rural Tuscola, IL, passed away at 7:38 P.M., Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL
Memorial Services celebrating her life will be held at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, 300 East Daggy Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Jerry Silver officiating. The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.
Mary was born on March 6, 1930 in Mt. Carmel, IL, the daughter of Joe and Helen Spurgeon.
Survivors include her boyfriend: Bill Mayer of rural Tuscola, IL, her family: Debbie Ticer of Atwood, Lyman Sapp of Champaign, IL, Conrad Ruiz of Tuscola and Thomas Ruiz of Atwood.
Mary worked as an Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. She loved to go shopping and have lunch and spend time with Tommy and Conrad. She loved to read and she loved her pets.
Memorials are suggested to the Carle Foundation Hospital Step-Down Unit.
