Obituary
Mary Ann Welch, 83, of Arthur, died at 10:45 AM Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Rev. John Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until Noon on Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Welch was born December 25, 1929 in Tuscola, the daughter of Fred and Lydia Miller Borntreger. She married Loren D. Welch in Hindsboro on Nov. 18, 1945; he preceded her in death on April 25, 2008.
Survivors include 2 sons, Larry Welch of Arthur; Barry (Bobbi) Welch of Arcola; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and brother, Clarence Borntreger of Arthur. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jerry; 7 brothers; and 1 sister.
Mrs. Welch was formerly a cook at the Arthur Grade School for 10 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arthur. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids, her church, and country music.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Arthur.
