Mary Elizabeth Schultz, 92, of Arthur, IL, passed away at 8:26 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Zion United Church of Christ, rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Zion Church Cemetery, rural Arthur, IL. Shrader Funeral Home, 431 South Vine Street, Arthur, IL is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mary was born on May 19, 1921 in Arcola, IL, the daughter of Floyd "Pat" and Grace Kimberlin Murphy. She married John Frederick Schultz on August 20, 1940 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2011.

Survivors include her daughter: Darlene Uphoff and husband Ron of Charleston, IL, grandchildren: Jon Ronald Uphoff and wife Nikki of Charleston, IL, Linda Jane House and husband: William of Mattoon, IL, great-grandchildren: Derek Hardin and wife Sara; Curtis and special friend Ashley Bryson, Jonah and Veronica Uphoff, great-great-grandchildren: Ethan, Kaelyn, Owen, Daniel Hardin and Landon Uphoff, sister-in-law: Leona Hughes of Arthur, IL

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Floyd "Bud" Murphy, Jr.

Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and the Kaskaskia Country Club. Mary enjoyed playing golf.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Zion United Church of Christ or donor's choice.
