Mary Louise Noblitt, 87, of Indianapolis, formerly of Decatur, died at 9:15 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018 at South Point Nursing Facility in Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Rev. David Land officiating.  Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.

Mary was born May 25, 1931 in Flora, the daughter of George and Alice Clark Shipley. She married Ralph Edwin Noblitt in Flora on September 7, 1952; he preceded her in death on December 28, 2010.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Rev. David) Land of Indianapolis; grandchildren Jayne (Kevin) Marquis, William Daniel (Danny) Noblitt, Nicholas Ira (Erin) Noblitt, Rachel Elizabeth Land and Joseph Andrew (Kristen) Land, as well as six great grandchildren.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ralph and her son Bill.

Mary graduated from Flora High School in 1949.  She worked at the A&P grocery store in South Shores (Decatur). Thereafter, Mary and a friend opened the Early Risers Café located on Eldorado Street, also Decatur.

Mary became a Christian at a young age and was a member of the Arcola Methodist Church most of her adult life.
