Mary A. Kleiss, 91, of Tuscola, IL, went to be with the Lord, at 3:40 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL.
Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL with Father Angel Sierra as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
Mary was born on April 3, 1925 in Morrisonville, IL. She was the daughter of Edward and Gertrude McAnarney Jordan. She married Floyd M. Kleiss on August 2, 1948 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church in Tuscola and enjoyed almost 68 wonderful years of marriage together. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughter: Alice Kleiss, sons: Raymond (Flora) Kleiss, Mark Kleiss and John (Briget) Kleiss, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sisters: Gertrude Sanderson and Pauline Jordan.
Mary was preceded in death by her son: Timothy Kleiss, grandson: Jeffrey Kleiss, brothers: Edward and Leonard Jordan, sisters: Margaret Shadid and Catherine Siemer.
Mary was a homemaker, living and raising her family in Tuscola. She was a member of Forty Martyrs Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and celebrating St. Patrick's Day. She will be missed by all who knew her.
