Obituary

Mary Rebekah "Becky" Kamm, 85, of rural Atwood, IL, passed away at 10:40 A.M., Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:30 P.M., Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. No Visitation will be held. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Kamm was born on November 10, 1921 in Dyersberg, TN, the daughter of Oscar Howard and Lora Moore Rennels. She married Ervin L. Kamm on June 1, 1943 in Ft. Myers, FL. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2001.

Her survivors include: Daughter: Jane Kaiser and husband: Don of New Athens, IL, Daughter: Lenny Gargac and husband: Ed of Grandin, MO, Son: Howard Kamm and wife; Margaret of Atwood, IL, Daughter: Beth Jones and husband: Mark of Arthur, IL, Son: Jacob Kamm and wife: Lisa of Lovington, IL, Daughter: Susan Kamm-Worrell and husband: Kurt of Berthoud, CO, Grandchildren: Brian Gargac and wife: Jennifer of Grandin, MO, Melissa Kamm of Mattoon, IL, John Gargac and wife: Rachel of Grandin, MO, Adam Jones and wife: Kristy of St. Joseph, MO, Kimberly Robinson and husband: Shawn of Atwood, IL, Matthew Jones and wife: Juliana of Champaign, IL, Erin Kaiser of Belleville, IL, David Kaiser of New Athens, IL, Heather Jones of Arthur, IL, Lindsey Kamm and Hunter Kamm both of Lovington, IL, Connor Worrell and Kathryn Worrell of Berthoud, CO, Great-Grandchildren: Brodie Gargac of Grandin, MO, Bailey Gargac and Nathan Gargac both of Grandin, MO, Riley Robinson of Atwood, IL, Many Loving Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Karl E. Rennels and 1 Sister: Lois Janeaux

Mrs. Kamm was a retired school teacher. She was a member of the United Church of Atwood, Arthur Teacher's Association, Illinois Mentoring Program, Prairie Association of Home and Community Education, Moultrie-Douglas Home Extension Board, Douglas County Mental Health Board, James Reeder American Legion Post #770 Auxiliary and the Moultrie County Retired Teachers, where she was the newsletter editor for many years. Mrs. Kamm will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
