Obituary
Mary Carroll, 85, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 3:22 P.M., Thursday, June 29, 2006
at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 1, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola , IL, with the Rev. Bruce Baumberger officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
Mrs. Carroll was born on April 27, 1921 in Douglas County, Illinois, the daughter of Hugh and Ethel Ponder Crossman. She married Myron E. Carroll on February 22, 1942 in Georgia. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1996.
Survivors include a daughter: Cathy Carroll Christman and husband: Dr. Fred Christman of Columbia, Missouri.
Mrs. Carroll graduated from Tuscola High School, attended Northwestern University , and received a Bachelor's degree from Milliken University in Decatur, Illinois. She was a first grade teacher in the Tuscola School District for many years. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church.
Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola United Methodist Church, 901 North Prairie Street, Tuscola, Illinois 61953.
