Mary Ann Hughes, 74, of Arcola, died at 7:00 AM Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at her residence.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Arcola Cemetery with Rev. Donald Winch officiating. Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, is assisting the family with their services.

Mary Ann was born May 31, 1935, in Charleston, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Pearl Latimore Twitty. She was united in marriage to Ralph R. Hughes in Mattoon on June 19, 1971.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Gina White and husband Randy of Hindsboro; Peggy Hearon and husband John of Crawfordsville, Florida; and Jo Davis and husband Dwayne of Burney, California; two sons, Kevin Huckstep and special friend Tammy Hopkins of Arcola; Keith Huckstep and wife Desi of Arcola; 9 grandchildren, Caleb White and Josh White of Hindsboro; Matthew Huckstep of Arcola; Melissa Petrie of Humboldt; Jennifer Huckstep of Arcola; Travis Labordor of Walnut, California; Tysa Payment of Redding, California; Brad Davis of Red Lodge, Montana; and Sheri Whinery of Reno, Nevada; 7 great grandchildren, Kolten Petrie of Humboldt; Lexy Davis of Red Lodge, Montana; Matty Davis of Red Lodge, Montana; Hunter Payment of Redding, California; and Ralph Labordor of Walnut, California; Jaycob and Justyn Whinery of Reno, Nevada; 2 sisters, Dorothy Ruff of Arthur, and Sharon Latch and husband Harland of Mattoon. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Jessica Ann Huckstep and great granddaughter, Makenzie Leanne Petrie.

Mary Ann loved her family. She enjoyed spending her time with her kids, grandkids and great grandchildren. She also held a special enjoyment listening to Elvis.
