Obituary
Mary Foster, 87, of Arthur, died at 7:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2013 at The Arthur Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 15, 2013 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Rev. Jess Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Mary was born January 12, 1926 in Albion the daughter of Guy and Nancy Ryherd Morford. She married James Foster in Sullivan on February 3, 1950; he preceded her in death on November 17, 2004.
She is survived by 3 children, Douglas (Debra) Foster of Edinburg; Jamie (James) Wince of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; Dyke (Cheryl) Foster of Assumption; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, George Morford of Mesa, Arizona. She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Mary graduated from Sullivan High School in 1944. She was a member of the Vine Street Christian Church; Order of the Eastern Star; and the 5 Merry Widows Bridge Club. She was head cook at the Arthur schools until 1982.
