Mary Lou Fitzgerald, 92, of Humboldt, died at 6:42 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola with Brad Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Humboldt Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mary Lou was born May 30, 1927 in Arcola the daughter of Raymond E. and Mythel E.Schiller Reece. She married Clarence Fitzgerald, Jr. in Tuscola on July 13, 1945; he preceded her in death on July 28, 1998.

She is survived by 2 sons, C. Francis (Becky) Fitzgerald of Murrayville; Larry (Linda) Fitzgerald of Charleston; 4 Grandchildren, Lane (Chris) Goonan, Lance (Heather) Fitzgerald, Cody Fitzgerald, Scot Fitzgerald (Deceased); wife of Scot, Dani; great grandchildren, Brock, Brody, and Brayden Goonan; Nate Eldrige; August, Faith, Hope, Colton, and Fynlee Fitzgerald.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Emma Walker and Jean Bemis; 6 brothers, Thomas, Charles, James, John, Richard and Robert Reece.

Mary Lou graduated from Humboldt High School. She was employed as a U.S. Postal Clerk in Humboldt for 35 plus years. She was a member of the Humboldt United Methodist Church.
