Obituary
Mary Angeline Brown, 92, of Arcola, died at 7:04 AM Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at her daughter's residence in Middleton, Wisconsin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Arcola, with Rev. Barry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with rosary at 6:30 PM.
Mary was born August 26, 1920 near Arcola, the daughter of John and Angeline McTaggart Kelly. She married Gordon O. Brown in Acola in 1952; he preceded her in death in 1963.
Survivors include her son, John Brown of Arcola; 2 daughters, Janell (David) Folley of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Margaret (Fred) Buchholz of Middleton, Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Mary was a retired teacher. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Illinois University and her Master's Degree at the University of Illinois. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church; Altar and Rosary Society; Women's Club; and Ladies Home Extension.
