Mary Elizabeth Bolton, 87, of Urbana, IL, formerly of Atwood, IL, passed away at 3:51 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Roger Perry officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, until time of services. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL

Mrs. Bolton was born on November 1, 1921 in Atwood, IL, the daughter of Claude A. and Susie I. Thomas Henry. She married Albert F. Bolton on August 23, 1943 in Rantoul, IL. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1984.

Survivors include: 1 Son: Donald Bolton and wife: Barb of Grand Junction, CO, 2 Grandchildren: Sherry Bolton Bollman and husband: Jim of Farmer City, IL, Jason Piper and wife: Jennifer of Tucson, AZ, 7 Great-Grandchildren: Michael Perry, Jr. and wife: Katie, Chelsea Bollman, Stephanie Bollman, Dustin Wingler, Jordan Piper, Jaida Piper and Jared Piper, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Taran, Logan and Mariah Elizabeth Perry, Special Brother: Edward "Bus" Henry of Decatur, IL, Special Sister: Mary Lou Bernard, Mary took under her wing of love: Barbara (Ron) Anderson of Sadorus, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson: Daren Bolton.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or American Lung Association.

Mary retired from Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, IL, where she worked as a commissary supervisor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atwood, IL. Mary loved to read, dance and she especially enjoyed tap dancing. She was the "Greatest Illini Fan"
