Marvin Branch, Jr, 82, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 1:18 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Graveside Services with military rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Ralph Deal officiating.
There will be no visitation. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St, Tuscola, IL is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mr. Branch was born September 3, 1930 in Centralia, IL the son of Marvin J. Branch and Lovera Kratzner. He married Janet Compton in 1952 in Newman, IL. She survives.

He is also survived by a Son: Tom Branch of Tuscola, IL; 2 Daughters: Karen (John) Waldrop of Tuscola, IL and Denise (Hank) Groves of Tuscola; 4 Grandchildren: Matthew (Terra) Waldrop of Springfield, IL; Jessica (Tyler) Quinn of Tuscola, IL; James (Oleia) Branch of Tuscola, IL and Emily Groves of Tuscola, IL; 3 Great Grandchidlren: Trey Waldrop, Elizabeth Quinn and Madeline Quinn; 2 Sisters: Wanda Beals of Centralia, IL and Marilyn Averman of Bowling Green, KY.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and a Grandson: Cliffton Groves.

He was a United States Army veteran. Marvin retired from Ecoff Trucking, Tuscola, IL after 30 years of service. Marvin was a member of Teamsters Local #26. He loved to camp and fish especially at Walnut Point, Oakland, IL. Marvin enjoyed his retirement years and "tinkering" in his garage. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
