Martha Louise Marquette, 96, of Mattoon, formerly of Arcola, passed away at 9:58 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Mattoon Health Care Center, Mattoon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the St. John's Catholic Church, Arcola, IL. No visitation will be held. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery, Arcola, IL. Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, IL is handling the arrangements.

Martha was born on June 23, 1919 in Floyd's Knobs, IN, the daughter of Clarence W. and Blanche Christian Leidolf. She married Leon Louis Marquette on January 22, 1942. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2004.

Survivors include her son: Paul (Maryann) Marquette of Auburn, IL and daughter: Ann (John) Roytek of Mattoon, IL, grandchildren: Fred Hudson, Elizabeth Jakobsson, Jennifer Ospina, Laura Bell and Chris Marquette, great-grandchildren: Jackson Green, Emily Hudson, Creed Hudson, Gunnar Jakobsson, Mason Marquette, Julian Ospina, Gabe Marquette, Mia Ospina and Elliette Bell, brothers: Oliver Leidolf of Indianapolis, IN, Arthur Leidolf of Floyd Knobs, IN and David Leidolf of Merritt Island, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Harold Leidolf

Martha graduated from Nazareth College in Louisville, KY. She previously worked as Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital in Urbana and at Jarman Memorial Hospital in Tuscola, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
