Marlene Bessie Corley, 91 of Camargo, passed away on Saturday morning, November 16, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery.

Marlene was born on July 21, 1933 in Oblong, the daughter of Millard and Dorothy Hill Davis. She married Paul Howard. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter: Cathy (Michael) Kremitzki  and son: Roger (Malinda) Howard, grandchildren: Christopher Spencer, Ryan Spencer, Mike Kremitzki, Kim West, Chrissy Carter, Jamie Howard and John Mosley, great-grandchildren: Macey Davis, Tyson Spencer, Makenzie Spencer, Mia Spencer, Maybree Spencer, Sara Kremitzki, Sophia Kremitzki, Mae West, Jazmine West, Cannon West, Trey Strode, Riley Strode, Brodie Carter, Marlee Carter, Maggie, Layla and Olivia Howard, brother: Gary Davis, sisters: Charlene Waggoner and Barbara Nidey, many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Ronnie Howard, brothers; Jerry Davis, Donald Davis, sisters: Betty Stout and Velma Simpson.

Marlene was a homemaker. She formerly worked as a nanny, as a caregiver at Friendship Hill and at Casey's in Atwood. Marlene enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, babysitting and telling stories to her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Chicago Bears football, Chicago Cubs baseball and she was an avid Fighting Illini fan.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
