Mark Richard Tuttle, 63, of Arcola, died at 4:39 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 as the result of a farming accident in rural Hindsboro.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Rev. Brent Budd officiating. Burial will follow in the VanVoorhis Cemetery, rural Hindsboro. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the funeral home.

Mark was born March 10, 1955 in Urbana, the son of Emery and LaVerne Bunten Tuttle. He married Kathy Weaver on August 8, 2001 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Tuttle of Arcola; son, Derek Tuttle of Arcola; brother, Dr. Kerry (Carol) Tuttle of Peoria; stepchildren, Shayla, Clint and Clayton Johnson, and Audra (Jason) Salvato; nephew and niece, Dr. Justin (Kelsey) Tuttle of Peoria; and Libby (Jay) Mann of Brooklyn, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mark graduated from Arcola High School Class of 1973 and Southern Illinois University in 1977. He taught Ag at Arcola High School for one year and then started farming in the Hindsboro/Kemp area in 1979.

Mark was active in antique trading and enjoyed the Monday night auctions in Arthur. His love of farming and auctions led him to collecting farm memorabilia. He also liked karaoke and was an entertaining DJ.

Mark was a regular for morning coffee at the elevator. He could make people laugh wherever he went.
