Pastor Mark Bragg of Washburn, Illinois was pronounced dead at his home Sunday morning July 6, 2025.

He held a Master of Divinity from Lincoln Christian Seminary and a master's degree from Sangamon State University in Springfield. He dedicated his life to serving at churches in Petersburg, Virden, Pleasant Hill, Grandville, and Washburn, Illinois.

He also ministered at Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch and through various missions in Haiti, Mexico, and the United States. Mark was devoted to mentoring the next generation for Christ. He loved fishing, painting, and music.  A lifelong learner he traveled to over 11 countries and loved his family, the Bragg farm, and his various church families and friends. He was an avid Cardinal's fan.

He is survived by his father, Stephen Bragg, stepmother Sandra Bragg, four siblings Scott Matthew Bragg (Steve Long), James Bragg ( Melinda Bragg), Kathleen Cook (Eldon Cook), and Christopher Bragg (Hilary Hensler).  Mark was also loved by his many nieces and nephews. Mark raised two young men he considered sons: Chris Shy and Caleb Johns. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Louis Bragg.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Pastor Eldon Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Camargo Cemetery, Camargo, IL

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
