Marilyn A. Michener, 63, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 12:52 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Tuscola United Methodist Church, 901 North Prairie St., Tuscola, IL with Rev. Patty Johansen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main St., Tuscola, IL. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Marilyn was born October 2, 1949 in Fairfield, IL, the daughter of Luther E. and Betty Lou Conaway Iles. She married Alan F. Michener on March 3, 1973 in Anna, IL. He survives.

Other survivors include her sons: Scott Michener and wife: Shannon and their children: Lucas, Harrison, and Maya all of Lebanon, IN and Dr. Phillip Michener and wife: Christine and their children: Simon, Elijah and Leah of Greenville, MS

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Luther E. Iles, Jr.

Marilyn was a retired 5th grade school teacher, having taught at East Prairie Middle School in Tuscola for 25 years. She was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church. Marilyn really loved spending time with her grandchildren.
