Obituary

Margie Riley, 88, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 8:30 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Duane Piercy officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Arcola Township Cemetery, Arcola, IL.

Margie was born on July 8, 1924 in Galton, IL, the daughter of Vernon and Gladys Smith Seaman. She married Robert E. Riley on October 8, 1955 in Arcola, IL. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2006.

Survivors include her children: William R. Riley and wife: Dianna, Jeffrey M. Riley, and Carol J. Morris and husband: John all of Tuscola, IL, grandchildren: Dustin Downs and Josie Riley, 3 step-grandchildren: Rachel, Kerri and Sam Kearney, 6 great-grandchildren, brother: George W. Seaman of Arcola, IL and sister: Marylou Gillis of Farmer City, IL and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Vernon Seaman and an infant sister.

Margie was a retired legal secretary. She worked for Nichols, Jones, McCown and Lincoln Law Firm for over 50 years.

Margie was very devoted to her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Margie also enjoyed cooking and especially preparing holiday meals for her family. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.
